Perfectly situated between the vibrant cities of Bath and Bristol, Daffodil Cottage is located along the renowned Cotswold Way, perfect for avid walkers or just basking in the glorious countryside, this retreat is a haven for nature enthusiasts and history buffs alike, located next to the National Trust grounds of Dyrham Park. 

 

There are also plenty of pubs within a short drive of Daffodil Cottage.

The Cotswold Way

A 102-mile trail that winds its way through the Cotswold Hills in England, from Chipping Camden in the north to the Georgian city of Bath in the south. 

Dyrham Park

The 270-acre ancient rolling parkland of Dyrham Park, in which a herd of a fallow deer roam freely, is home to a vast array of trees and has far-reaching views. Formal borders, idyllic ponds, a wildflower orchard and wooded terraces are all features of the varied garden. There is also a newly revamped play area in the parkland at Old Lodge including a café, ice cream kiosk and toilets.

Bath

Bath is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage city in Somerset, Southwest England, celebrated for its Roman-built baths, natural hot springs, and stunning Georgian architecture, such as the Royal Crescent.

Bristol

Bristol houses the world-famous suspension bridge that spans the Avon Gorge.

 

Its former city-centre port is now a cultural hub, the Harbourside, where the M Shed museum explores local social and industrial heritage. The harbour's 19th-century warehouses now contain restaurants, shops and cultural institutions such as the contemporary art gallery The Arnolfini.

Getting Around

Bath and Bristol are both an easy 25 minute drive by car. Yate railway station is only 7 miles away, while Bristol Parkway and Bath Spa stations are both a 30 minute drive by taxi.
